As I'm sure we all know, yesterday was Valentine's Day. It can be a pretty insignificant day for people who are single, and can even be a pretty low-key holiday for people in a relationship.
But this year, I was able to celebrate the day with my boyfriend of 10 1/2 months. It was our first one together, but that didn't mean it had to be extravagantly special.
Seeing as how we live in Ellensburg, there is not much to do that we haven't already. But what our day consisted of was just perfect to me.
Since it was a Wednesday, most of the day was spent at school and work, and usually any other night, I would come home and work on homework. But since it was February 14, I just wanted to spend some quality time with my significant other.
We grabbed our favorite take-out teriyaki orders, went back home, and watched some TV. Who needs steak? This is a pretty perfect V-Day dinner to me.
It was a pretty low-key night and I'm not too disappointed about it at all. Hope everyone else had a good Valentine's Day!
Fast-forward to February 15, and it was like Valentine's Day all over again! After school, my boyfriend and I went to the local grocery stores on the hunt for some discounted Valentine's candy. We scored big time.
We also chose to eat a heart-shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's because what's more delicious than pizza? Even if it's heart-shaped and the day after Valentine's Day. 😉
So as you can see, Valentine's Day 2018 was a 10/10 in my books and I wouldn’t have changed anything about it.
